The Flaming Wick Candle Co., Redmond, Oregon
The Flaming Wick Candle Company was started in 2020 by Kim Dixon. She began attending local farmers markets, craft fairs and bazaars. About a year later she got her first wholesale account locally and had decided to continue to grow the business beyond a hobby.
Kim loves blending fragrances to create her own custom scents and occasionally creating fun unique names for the area she lives. Throughout this journey her husband Ken and their 3 daughters have helped in many ways with the business. As Ken is nearing retirement they look forward to expanding the business even more.
What started as a small space with just a couple of folding tables in their garage has grown into an insulated, heated/cooled, walled off separate room in their garage (about the size of a single car garage) that has been spilling over into the remainder of the full sized garage as their business continues to grow each year. Ken being very handy and having a shop and tools, has built the things Kim has needed to have a fully functional candle making room in their garage.
Over the years Kim has remained very dedicated to using US grown 100% soy wax. The greatest advantage with soy wax is it is completely renewable and will burn cleanly and slowly. Soy wax is also eco-friendly, sustainable and carbon-neutral. They also use lead-free cotton wicks and non-toxic phthalate free fragrance oils to further a clean burning candle. All candles are hand poured in small batches.
Their mission is to enrich the lives of others through scent by invoking memories and feelings of nostalgia.

For single custom gift baskets, we will only entertain orders with budgets of $150+ each, $85 for gift boxes. It’s not pretty, but I make pretty things in there!
As we all navigate the Corona virus crisis, I wanted to assure you of the safety of ordering and delivering a Bella Vino Gift. Being a solopreneur, it is much easier to control the variables that lead to the transmission of the virus. I am confident that all variables have been addressed and the risk is low to none that transmission could come from my gifts.
I am home based, but I work from the shop shown in this picture, on my home property, separate from other people. I have practiced social distancing and self-quarantined since March 11th, well before the Governor’s orders came down, in an abundance of caution. I have only left my home property on short walks and to deliver a few gifts locally, practicing all of the required social distancing procedures while doing so. All inventory received has been wiped down with antiseptic wipes. I wash my hands before and after assembling your gifts and disinfect all working surfaces. You can have confidence in sending a Bella Vino Gift to others during this crisis. I am finding that those confined at home who are receiving them seem to be even more thrilled than normal to receive a gift during this stressful time.
